my language experience

I worked on saturday and sunday 2 weeks ago because I needed a money.
The place I went to was Jamsil.
There was a singer's concert and I worked for it.
I made a long, big fence so that people who were waiting admission were stood there.
And I gave a information to people who were confused.
They asked so many question.
And there were sooooo many foreigner.
They often asked me and fazed me.
I was very shy and ashamed but I told them what I knew enthusiastically.
When the work was finished, I felt very great about my effort.

I was in English village in Ahn San for 1month when I was 14. It was summer vacation. In the village, I woke up, ate, study, sleep at same time. It can be thought 'not special' but during the class, there was alway something special. The native teachers taught freely. And we made lots of bondship with teachers and friends.
It is one of my favorite memories. The experience of English village gave me courage to communicate foreigners.
Sometimes I can remind chant "EV EV EV ROCK!"

Butterfly Effect - Jang Eom Ji

The most interest thing I've ever think about cause and effect is the Butterfly Effect. For exmaple, I watched a movie named 'Butterfly Effet1'. In that movie, main character went back to past then future changed. Something very small changed the whole life. So it was very shocked to me that movie writer think the story like that.
After I watched the movie 'Butterfly Effect', sometimes I think that I can change the future as I do somethig small.

English is not only language but also power. (Kim Sang Eun)

   On Parent’s Day, also May 8th, my parents and I visited my grandparents’ house. As we arrived, my father said mom and he would go to buy flowers, so I had to go grandparents’ house first. My father gave me a gift for grandparents. It was chinese alcohol. I gave it to my grandparents and they wanted to know what it’s name is. On the bottle it was written only in english. They were not good at english. At the moment I felt proud of my major. I could understand and explain what is written on the bottle. Knowing english can help other people. This experience reminds me of the fact that english is not only language but also power.

My Experience with English Outside of the Classroom(Byun Young-eun)

    It wasn't these days, but it was so impressing to me. About 2 or 3 years before, I was at a mart near my home with my mother. I was concerning about what to buy for my snack. My mother came and said to me. "come" I followed her. And there was a Chinese having trouble with Korean. She asked me with English. I can't remember the exact sentence, but the sketchy content was about finding fabric conditioner. We were talking with English while we were finding fabric conditioner. It were just collected English words, not  perfect sentences, but we could understand other's meaning in the words.

Lately, more and more couple who have children or not have been divorcing.

So many children may have step-mother or father and also I have too.

And they must be influenced by divorcing or remarriage of their parents in some ways.

First, in case of psychological effects, children become more sensitive and aggressive because they think they are abondoned by parents. It can make them run away from home.

Second, they worry about recuring of their parents' divorcing.

At last, in financial and life-pattern problem, They are suffered from irregular meal time and unsubstantial food, inaccurate life-pattern because no one can care them.

In summary, parents' divorcing can effects badly their children.

The Cause and Effect of Maggie’s Happiness.(Kim Sang Eun)

Firstly, why did Maggie plant a lot of flowers in her garden?

Because she was very jealous of Lucy, fiance of her sweetheart?

Because she was afraid of being uncovered her secret in her book?

 

Secondly, why is Stephen sleeping deeply under the flowers?

Because he entered the garden without her permission?

Because she was afraid of being uncovered her secret in her book?

 

Finally, Maggie may be or may not be happy.

Because two spears were added in her garden?

Because not only Lucy but also Stephen was missing (Just missing or ... )?

Cause : If a man hear a compliment, it may signal the brain to release beneficial chemicals, endorphins.

Eating Instant Cup Noodles and the Effects (Byun Young-eun)

   Do you like instant cup noodles? If you do, do you know the effects of eating instant cup noodles? Eating instant cup noodles can cause many bad effects on both you and the Earth. Instant cup noodles have a lot of saturated fat, cholesterol, and salt. They can cause significant problem on your health like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease. Instant cup noodles can have a bad effect on the environment because they leave over plastic packaging wastes. They takes much time to decompose, and incinerating these wastes can create harmful substances. So, I hope you hardly eat instant cup noodles.

One day, she left her book in her classroom.

Her friends were wondering what’s in that book.

I love Stephen. And we love each other very much. But He is fiance of Lucy, my cousin. However he must have loved me and it’s his destiny! Lucy really wants to marry Stephen? It sounds ridiculous. How can she do that! Lucy is absolutely out of her mind.

As Lucy came by my house, I was at the front door. I pretend to forget my key but this trick didn’t work. Because the door was not closed. Hopelessly I entered my house with Lucy. When I went to the bathroom Lucy opened my bag. She wanted to see my secret book. That was a good chance to me. When the minute Lucy opened the book...... I muttered to her.‘Don’t touch mine, an evil fox!’.

Today I planted a lot of flowers in my garden. And I gifted her a spear instead of gravestone. That spear is shinning above her. It will make me happy whenever I think Lucy.

05. 02. 2012

After a long time, Stephen visited my house. Because he claimed himself to be the botanist, he begged me to get into the garden. I said clearly :‘Never’. But after a few minutes, he was in the garden. I could see him through the window. He observed something odd with a magnifying glass. He picked up some black hairs. Unfortunately he might find clue. He should have not gone there. He came back to living room with shocked face.

There was a book on the fireplace and the blood from the book dripped into the fire. He approached to it.

 

And... now, he is sleeping deeply under the flowers.

 

Maggie’s Friends quickly closed the book with trembling hands.

Where is Maggie?

 

They feel maggie’s eyes see them from somewhere.

Bonobono, My Favorite Meaningful Animation

    Hi, I'm Young-eun. Do you know Bonobono? Bonobono is my favorite animation. I want to introduce you one episode of this animation. I call it Coddaczi(nose dirt) episode.
    In this episode, Neoburi, one of main characters of the animation, cleans his nose with his finger and throw the nose dirt from his finger. Then he goes to bungee jump with Bonobono and Porori, also main characters of the animation. To the way going to bungee jump, they tumble down a precipice. After arriving a log bridge, Neoburi bungee jumps to the river and he even gets in the water while the bungee jumpihg. The nose dirt, however, is stuck to Neoburi over all these events.
    It was just funny and I just laughed at this when I was young. In contrast, when I saw it again after I had grown up, I found this recondite. The episode says if someone does not conduct a work clearly to the end, the work would remain around him/her however the way is. Neoburi should have removed the nose dirt clearly! (for example, using tissue!)
    Except this episode, also many episodes are so meaningful. While I watched again the animation, Bonobono, I found lots of profound points I did not know when I was young: when I watched it first.

<Billy Elliot>

Billy Elliot is one of my favorite movies.

It is a ballet movie. The title of movie means main character's name.

Billy is young boy who lived in a coal town that was almost abandoned.

Billy's father was miner. Because he was typical macho man, he took billy to learn boxing.

But billy didn't like boxing and instead took much interest in ballet. Also had a great talent in ballet.

Although his father hated billy learning ballet since learning cost is expensive and he think ballet is feminine sports, Billy learned ballet secretly and finally became a ballerino.

In movie there was several conflicts that were connected complicately each other and it makes me thinking deeply.

<The Spiriting Away Of Sen And Chihiro>

Chihiro was ordinary 10 years old girl. Chihiro family was moving.

Her father missed way while driving and the car reached strange place.

That was abandoned amusement park.

I felt so strange, weired, mysterious and even scary when i first saw the scene..

Chihiro wanted to go back to the car but her parents looked around the place curiously.

They found an empty eatery and intruded into the eatery and ate foods greedy.

And Chihiro found her parents became  PIGs! Oh.. so scary

Chihiro felt great scary and sad and suddenly she met a boy Haku.

Haku scoldedd her to run away from there but chihiro was founded by monsters live in there.

Chihiro worked at hot spring in there to change her parents to human.

Although Yubaba,the master of hot spring and the great monster,was too wicked and abuse chihiro,but chihiro worked hard and finally met her parents again.

And she remembered an old memory about Haku. (It is secret because it is key point of the movie.)

THE BEST MOVIE IN MY LIFE

    (This writing belongs to Kim Sang Eun. )
    
    I can't forget  the impression that I received  when I  saw the  movie, 'A clockwork orange'. The movie really shocked me. It is made by the great movie director Stanley Kubrick whom I have respected passionately since then. 

    Main character in the movie, Alex is an worst guy in the human history^^. (Alex is said to be the model of Jocker in the film, Betman The Dark Knight. How well Heath Ledger played this role!)  He drinks milk mixed with drug, and hits anyone whom he meets, rapes woman in front of her husband , and even kills the others without any reason. He believes 'The genius doesn't think but behaves with God's revelation and inspiration'. At last, he was arrested on his friend's betrayal. He became the object of  experiment that makes a person vomiting whenever he saw vices such like sexual violence, terrorism, war and so on. In the experiment,  Beethoven's symphony No.9 was used as a tool of conditinal reflex. This kind of brain washing seemed to succeed.
    But, his victims didn't think so. They tortured him and hit him mercilessly. They confined him in a room and played music repeatedly to torture him. Alex trid to commit suicide. However he failed to escape from the experiment.  Again he received more intensive treatment. In the end he confessed: 'I was treated completely'.

    This movie shows me what so-called 'pure evil' is. Alex is a really bad guy who can’t remember even the face of  victims of his crime. His madness makes him enjoy his worst crime. His saying makes me think that justice could be defined and decided by each person's mind. The contents of the movie are really amazing. Even though it has risque scenes, it has many sensational scenes that leap the centuries. In the movie, there are so many things that people couldn't think in 1970s. For example, people's unusual clothes, or strange background on that day. Every scene  has a perfect structure and the character's figure is like a picture. 
   The movie makes us think about many complex problems. Is it okay to break someone's life to correct his behavior because of his evil character?  Can the fact that criminal became crazy console his victims?  It is a wonder that just one movie makes people consider so many things. That's why I choose this movie which impressed me most up to now in my life.

 

My Favorite Singer, Mariah Carey .Jang Eom Ji

Hi, I'm Eom Ji. *-◀'^)
About 7 years ago, I saw a video. In there, a female singer was singing.
After watching the video, I was so shocked. I had never known singer like that woman.
Her name is Mariah Carey. I think I'm crazy about her since then.
In Korean, the 'Hero' is most famous song. Even though I love that song, but my favorite song is
'Love Takes Time'. Absolutely I like other songs, too. I have many CDs sung by MC.
Her song really cure me when I was hurt by someone. And it also gave me 'motivations' to learn English.
I naturally read and memorize the lyrics. That kind of actions help me to learn English.

I love listening music. So I love many singers except MC.
For example, I love British band 'Oasis', 'Keane'. And 'Kanye West', 'Jay-Z', too.
(But I like only Kanye's music. That's all)

Nowadays the British singer 'Adele' is the best singer in the world, I think. :D
I like her, too.

And I love so many Korean singers. Especially, 'Na Yoon Kwon' is good. His voice is so sweet.

I think the theme is 'Blindness' of Tom.
Because he is only 17 with no concrete plan, and lie continually.
And also he just consented when Master asked him to work even he doesn't know about the work.

Dangerousness of the world with out parent's help.


3.What does the story make you think about?

The story makes me think about me.
I am sometimes like Tom.
I think somtimes I can everything by myself.
But in the end I realize I was wrong.
It's hard to live without anyone's help.

Kim Sang Eun. The Monkey's paw.

1. What do you think Mr. White's 3rd wish was?

  

   I think his wish was Herbert's body go to somewhere like grave or disappear without a trace.

 

2. How do you know?

  

   The monkey's paw have a rule that give three wishes to three people.

Then when the whites wish to their son's life where is one person? Isn't it two people in the house? I think Herbert's soul is in there and maybe Mr. White know it. So, the thing that comes to their home is not Herbert but his body.

 

3. If you could make 3 wishes what would they be and why?

    If I can make 3 wishes, I wish about people. First, I wish people respect me and don't hurt my mind. There are many people that tell their opinion not to care about others mind. I always hurt my mind by those kind of people. Second, I wish people in the world behave honestly. I don't know what is true and what is lie these days. It's a tragedy. Third, I want there is nobody that suffer from crime. The crime bothers victim's whole life. Overall, I want to wish three things that benefic to human relationship.

I read similar story in horror comic books before.

but in comic books, it was not the monkey's paw that the thing grant people wishes

Instead of monkeys paw, weird oriental(or indian) mask granted 3 wishes as same way as monkey's paw.

the character of mask story wished almost same thing but amount of money.

3. If you could make 3 wishes, what would they be and why? Write about it in your journal.

I would wish myself turn back to my childhood with my all memories.

If it is impossible, I want to have fabulously nice figure as Miranda Kerr, Jang yoon ju and so on.

and I would wish giving me a high endurance and strong will

because I always give up past due to my low will.

Hi, I'm Eom Ji. I'm going to write about 'Madeness for Diet'.
Have you ever skiped a meal for reduce your weight?
Globally, all the people are crazy about slim body. So, they excercise, take medicine, and even undergo  operations!
That's because, I think, nowadays appearance became a kind of virtue.
People make a judgement about someone's ability by his/her appearance.
But I think this tendency is quite stupid. People must increase their capacity that can see iner beauty.

And also, sometimes, some people said "You need to reduce your weight for your health."
However this doesn't make sence , too.
Health is personal choice. Nobody can hurt someone because of his/her health.

I hope that people repect each other, and love own their own.

Plastic Operation and a New Identity

Hi, I'm Byun Young-eun. I commited my thought to writing about plastic operation, and I wanna show you this.

Plastic Operation and a New Identity
 Through the years, our bodies are changed. We can think that the change reflects us:a scar, transformation by a habit, etc. Then, can plastic operation also be a reflection of us? I can't answer yes nor no.
 For a long period, people adorn themselves by transforming their bodies. Foot-binding in China, a corset in Western, and pressing down an infant's forehead in Back-je can be some examples. Can we say that they reflect a person? My answer is no, because I think they can be a culture, but cannot be a special experience of a person or explain a person.
 On the other hand, can we call them a plastic operation? I don't know, but I think we can group them and plastic operation together. Plastic operation can be a culture, but cannot explain a person. There are so many people who had plastic operation. It's not special now.
 Some people look plastic operation so bad cause it's not real. However, what's the real? If plastic operation were not real, how the things that were in China, Western, and Back-je can be explained? That's not real nor not real.
 I think plastic operation is just an identity of this age just like foot binding was. It can reflect people in this age, but not a person by person.

Sexual orientation must be respected

My name is Kim Sang Eun. A few days ago, I saw Hong suk chun on the television. He is a homosexual. He said that he had struggled with many problems since he recognized his own sexual identity. He had been afraid of society’s prejudice. He even counted Han River’s bridges everyday to commit suicide. When he came out, he was forbidden to appear on TV though he has no problem except homosexuality.

When I saw this program. I was so confused. Because I don't know why people hate homosexual. They don’t harm to us. Why do we have discriminated them until now? Why won’t we respect other’s life style? Isn’t it their own business?

Some Dangers of Going to the Beach

 Going to the beach is enjoyable but somtimes, it can be dangerous. If you don't do stretching before getting in to the water, you can hurt and even die by being paralyzed. Also, you can face deep area suddenly. Another danger is living thihgs in the beach. You can meet a jellyfish, and rarely even a shark.

Byun Yuung-eun

My name is Byun Young-eun.
I like thinking, thinking, and thinking.
But nothing rests after thinking. So I started reading books.
And now it's my hobby.
I'm interested in sections of history, and biology.
I don't like exercising or moving body powerful. But this doesn't mean that I don't like playing outside.

My name is Kim Sang Eun. It means ' kind each other'. My grandfather named it to me. Because he thinks the kind is best virtue. I like to go travel somewhere. Because I like the new place's atmosphere. I also like animals. The animals make me happy. So, since I was young, I  have breeded animals.
Meanwhile, I like english pronunciation. Because it's like an melody. That's why I love english more than other subjects.

Jang Eom Ji

Hi, I'm Eom ji. Eom ji means thumb finger in Korean. So I always do the best at everything.
I love British&America Drama. I've seen these dramas since I was 17.
I especially love Friends and Will & Grace.
Also I love English since I was 14. Because I went to the English camp in Ahn San.
It was awesome. I exprience many circumtance with foreign professors.
So I could take off the fear of English and foreigner.
Nowadays, I do the jump-rope every night. For healthy body.
It is so hard but after finish the exercise, I feel fresh.

I want to make bond with Professor Trey and also friends, too.
